Dead Space Remake Coming to January 2023

Motive and EA have revealed that the upcoming Dead Space Remake will be released early next year.

More specifically, a remake from the foundations of the 2008 sci-fi survival horror classic will be released on January 27, 2023. Some Motive teams revealed this in a new live stream that aired today. Back in March, the team showed off some new gameplay in a live stream focused on audio development for the remake, and today’s stream was all about the visuals of Dead Space. At the end of this stream, the team shared an official January release date along with new gameplay.

According to Motive, this gameplay is technically pre-alpha, but the team said the game’s visual and environmental teams worked hard to bring it to a state that they consider to be better than pre-alpha. In fact, Motive said this is closer to the level of quality players should expect from the entire game in the studio.

Before another team revealed that they had completed the first full walkthrough of the recent remake, one of the segments said in the segment, “Not ready to ship, but we’re getting closer.”

As for when we’ll see Dead Space again, Motive said it expects to have a gameplay-focused public or live stream in October, close to Halloween. The January 27, 2023 release date is just a few months away, so that’s the perfect timing. While waiting for this gameplay reveal, check out the gameplay reveals in March.
