Dying Light 2 Stay Human on Switch has been delayed

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is scheduled to release on February 4th for PlayStation, Xbox consoles, and PC. It was also scheduled to launch to Switch via cloud streaming that day, but that’s no longer the case.

Techland has postponed the Switch version to an unspecified later. The team’s logic in the press release is to “provide the gaming experience that fans deserve and at the level that Techland wants to deliver”. Techland promises that the game will hit the Switch within six months of Dying Light 2’s release, so expect it to arrive in July at the latest.

Dying Light 2 is a massive and ambitious game and getting it to perform well on the Switch is no small feat, even if it utilizes cloud streaming instead of shoving it into an existing cartridge (which Techland achieved in the first game). It’s a disappointment for those looking for a handheld adventure, but at least the Dying Light 2 is only a few weeks away from launching another platform. To get ready, check out the final episode of Dying 2 Know, which revolves around 4-player co-op and a full list of PC requirements.
