Dying Light Delivers Next-Gen Performance Patch for PlayStation 5 Today
The original Dying Light is experiencing a new generation clash thanks to a previously released new generation patch. Finally the PlayStation version (and Xbox in the near future) launches today.
If you want to run Dying Light on your PS5, the following performance options are now available:
Performance Mode: 60FPS at Full HD
Balanced Mode: 60FPS in Quad HD
High Resolution Mode: 30FPS at 4K
The update also increases the drag distance by 25% while playing on PS5. Also, Dying Light on the PlayStation 4 Pro has an improved 30FPS limit and network capabilities.
Dying Light on Xbox Series X will soon receive the same patch as the PS5. Users playing on Xbox Series S and Xbox One will receive a reduced version of the patch with the following features:
Performance Mode: 30 FPS at Full HD
High Resolution Mode: 30FPS Quad HD
Dying Light 2 Stay Human may be a new hit, but Techland continued to support the old version by adding a free weapon skin in January, and ported the game to the Switch last October. It’s great to see a beloved game continue to be in the spotlight, and with this patch we’re getting closer to par with the sequel.
