Halo Showrunner Confirmed We Will See Master Chief's Face
Halo premieres on Paramount+ next month, and showrunners have already answered one of the series’ biggest questions. Yes, you will see the Master Chief’s face for the first time.
Ryan McCaffery of IGN interviewed the cast and producers of Halo and confirmed that when he asked the million dollar question, Kiki Wolfkill, executive producer of the show and head of Transmedia at 343 Industries, would see the Chief’s face. She describes this as a necessity for storytelling. “We started doing character stories and personal stories, and when we really knew what that story was, it became clear that we needed to see the armor and the person in the armor. under the helmet. So you will.”
Wolfkill continued, “We absolutely respect both sides of that fence, those who really want to see the Chief’s face and those who don’t really want to see it. But the nature of this story made it feel important to communicate with the Master Chief in a different way. It meant showing your face.”
Of course, given that Pablo Schreiber is playing the Master Chief (who was interviewed by IGN), the Chief’s live-action appearance isn’t, as a quick Google image search of the actor should give you some predictable good ideas. . The biggest secret in the world. Now it’s a matter of how often we’ll see his face. Only once or twice, or will the Chief pull out Boba Fett and spend half of the movie’s time without a mask? We’ll have to wait to figure it out, but for fans declaring this decision blasphemy, Halo exists on a separate timeline, so it’s always comforting to know that Halo isn’t standard for the main series. That means the original Master Chief’s identity is largely preserved (assuming you haven’t read the manga/book detailing his facial features).
Halo premieres March 24 on Paramount+ and has already been renewed for a second season. The show has faced opposition due to lawsuits from Halo’s original composers, but you can watch the most recent trailer here.
