Shadow Run Remastered Trilogy, Coming to Console this June
Paradox Interactive has revealed that the Shadowrun Trilogy will launch this summer on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
More specifically, the newly remastered trilogy is set to release to these consoles on June 21st. This is the first time this cyberpunk fantasy RPG, previously exclusive to PC, has been released to consoles. The trilogy, as the name suggests, includes three games: the original PC game, Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition, all completely remastered.
The press release reads: “The Shadowrun Trilogy, the remastered version of the Shadowrun Returns RPG originally released by Harebrained Schemes, has been updated for the console experience with upgraded graphics, improved performance and controller-optimized gameplay.” “All three titles in the series launch simultaneously for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and are available for pre-order on all platforms starting today.”
Shadowrun Returns was originally funded via Kickstarter in just 28 hours, and was, according to a press release, the first Kickstarter-funded game released after raising over $1 million on a fundraising platform. Shadowrun Returns and the rest of the trilogy are based on the Shadowrun tabletop RPG created by Jordan Weisman, who helped design Shadowrun Returns.
The Shadowrun trilogy launches on June 21st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch, priced at $39.99.
