Sons Of The Forest postponed to October
Endnight Games has announced that the upcoming survival game Sons Of Forest has been delayed from its original May release to October.
The news comes via Endnight Games’ own Twitter, and the studio has announced that their vision for the game is too ambitious to reach a May 2022 release date. Teams need more time to make their vision come true and it takes an additional 5 months to get it done.
“Over the past few weeks, we’ve come to realize that Sons Of The Forest’s May 2022 release date is overly ambitious. We have decided to change the release date to October 2022 to convey our vision for the next phase of survival games.”

Over these past few weeks, we have realized that our May 2022 release date for Sons Of The Forest was overly ambitious. To be able to deliver our vision of the next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022

As you can see in the tweet above, Endnight Games contains a short video snippet that shows some of the Sons Of Forest, including what appears to be a dumb NPC, a fish-eating protagonist, a log shelter construction, and a target. unfolds.
The last time we saw Sons Of The Forest, in its December trailer, showed just how horribly brutal survival games can be, and some sequences look straight out of horror. Sons Of Forest is based on Forest’s survival mechanics, which include creating shelters and gathering materials to craft hunting tools, and finding and gathering food to survive. The latest release from Endnight Games looks like a gift for fans of the genre. We will all find out this October.
