The next expansion for World of Warcraft is Dragonflight
In today’s presentation, Blizzard announced the next World of Warcraft expansion that will take players to Azeroth. The upcoming expansion, Dragonflight, has been revealed along with a new cinematic trailer. Players will travel to the Dragon Isle, a previously shrouded area of Azeroth. 4 Leveling Areas and Starter Area Sal consists of 5 new areas for players to explore in this expansion, with a variety of environments and encounters.
It’s important to keep in mind what’s going on within Activision Blizzard right now with regards to the ongoing assertion of workplace culture. The ongoing action against the company by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) is a reported harmful workplace culture action. Most of the lawsuits focus on “violations of national citizenship and equal pay laws,” especially regarding the treatment of women and other marginalized groups. And yes, you can now play as The Dracthyr, an all-new dragon race. This is actually a new class as well. This dragon can only be of the Evoker class, and only the dragon race can become an Evoker. This is a hero class starting at level 58 that has its own starter area. Check out the movie here!
For this release, we are also preparing a progress system check and a look at the job system. A completely overhauled talent system should give players more variety and options. For reference, the UI is also being reorganized. These are many significant changes to the core game, even if the new dragon class doesn’t tempt you. You can also ride a custom dragon for a fast and powerful new traversing option.
