Ubisoft+ Classics brings 27 games to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers

Ubisoft has announced that its subscription service, Ubisoft+, will be coming to PlayStation. A new tier for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, Ubisoft+ Classic will include 27 titles at launch.

Sony this morning announced a new look for their PS5, PS4, PS3 and classic game lineups, with news that some Ubisoft titles will be included, such as Assassins’ Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft today announced that Ubisoft+ will be bundled with a higher tier of PlayStation’s improved PS Plus service. It will start with 27 titles when the revamped PS Plus launches in multiple regions, increasing to 50 by the end of 2022.

Ubisoft+ is a standalone subscription service that anyone on the PlayStation console can subscribe to, just like on Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC. PS Plus Extra or Premium subscribers automatically get access to a new Ubisoft+ tier called Ubisoft+ Classics.

“With Ubisoft + Classics, we’re giving PlayStation players another way to enjoy Ubisoft games on their consoles,” said Chris Early, Ubisoft’s senior vice president of partnerships, in his press release. “This is just the beginning. Ultimately, we plan to bring Ubisoft+ to PlayStation owners. We will continue to build on our vision and give players more options to access their favorite games wherever they are.”

Ubisoft+ Classics launches May 24 in Asia, June 2 in Japan, June 13 in North and South America, and June 23 in Europe bundled with a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription tier.
